N & R

Dalam renyai hujan, jemputan yang ku tunggu-tunggu tiba akhirnya.

Bagai ditangisi.

Tangisan gembirakah? Tangisan dukakah?

Mungkin kedua-duanya.

Setinggi-tinggi tahniah ku ucapkan buat N & R!

Drama at the Masjid

Mr. Chairman got a real dressing down at Taraawih yesterday.
In public :o

I guess he took matters into his own hands one time too many.

I received news yesterday evening.

Ureshii desu. Shiawase mo, kanashimi mo.

Di sini kami bertemu.
Dan dia menjadi salah seorang kesayangan aku
yang amat, amat aku sayang.

Walaupun hanya aku sahaja yang rasa.
Selalunya aku dipergunakan mungkin.
Peduli apa aku?

Moga dengan ini dia tenang sentiasa
bahagia selamanya.
Di samping si dia yang menjadi pilihan hati.

Big Screen Breakdown: Dawn of Justice

Most viewers are or will be sorely disappointed by this movie...

...but I LOVED it!!! Go figure!

A proper laying down of background stories.
This is what will leave most viewers bored to the death for the first 90 minutes of screening.
To me, it is interesting and gives depth to each character as the story develops.

Some wonderful though understated acting.
The actors may not seem to be "doing" much but the effort it takes to make such casual scenes... Hats off to the cast and crew!
You'd really love to hate Jesse Eisenberg's characterisation of Luthor.

Beautiful design and details
Okay, most people wouldn't even bother about this but I am interested :P

The fight being the story.
As opposed to Marvel's flashy action packed approach, DC's recent remake of it's superhero movies is heading for the dark and gritty path.
Whatever action that is in the movie will usually be in support of the narrative.

A complicated storyline.
Straightforward, even predictable but it gets the job done.

This story managed to catch and hold my interest so well, which is one of my personal indicators for a good movie.
I completely forgot that I had a watch.
I stoically bore the incessant pressure on my bladder towards the end.

I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.
The storyline and storytelling could still be much improved.

Anyhow, I enjoyed it tremendously!

Some Thoughts on Open Sea Swimming

Me, trying to get in a decent selfie right out there among the waves...

...and failing miserably! Haha!

One important thing I've learned about swimming in the open sea is that the journey out is usually smooth sailing, but returning is a much different matter entirely.

The current and the exhaustion really gets to you at the end point.

And the frustration of seeing the beach right there, just a mere kilometer and a half away, and never getting any nearer to it!

Oh, man! That right there is a serious test of your will!

Another important thing I've learned is that I'm just a so so swimmer.
I may have reached my limit and may never be strong enough to overcome the currents in future.

But I'm finding it so addictive!
