I do so enjoy a bowl of good soto ayam.

It's not because it's my one of my favourites though. The main attraction for me is that it's a soup dish. I love soups.

Another reason is the combination of textures as you slurp it: chewy chicken strips, crunchy peanuts, fluffy nasi himpit...

One more thing :) that crackle crackle sound as you pour the soup over the fried soo hoon. Gets me every time!

Yup. I am very finicky with soto ... often disdaining store bought ones. After all, I make it myself and it's pretty good (even if I do say so myself).
